Bonsai Pots

At Spa Country Bonsai Barn Daylesford we have a wide range of bonsai pots and containers.

Colour and harmony is important in the art of Bonsai. The pot and the tree should compliment each other and one should not overwhelm the other.

Glazed pots are traditionally used for flowering, deciduous and fruiting trees and unglazed pots for conifers and evergreens.

Japanese pots are very nice but the latest ranges from China are improving in quality and are much more affordable.

These two semi-cascade style trees illustrate the harmony of the tree and pot. The juniper on the right is better suited to its pot than the one on the left.

Two examples of different styles in the art of Bonsai. The trident maple on the left is a root over rock planting while the fruiting tree on the right is a slanting style.
